Only one Nijinsky element has been studied. It was identified as an insertion at the Bar locus of the Basc chromosome. It is present at about 20 sites on the arms of Oregon R chromosomes and at the chromocenter. There are no sites for the enzymes BamHI and XhoI. Restriction map in Lindsley, Zimm, 1992 p. 1104.
