Statement Reference lacZ expression "essentially ubiquitous." (Matthews, 1995.11.17) In stage 17 embryos, expressed in fat body and in scattered cells, probably hemocytes. Mimics expression of Cg25C, except that β-galactosidase staining is first observed about 6 hours after Cg25C transcripts are detected. (Wilson et al., 1989)
