Statement Reference Ecol\lacZ[rho-X81] expresses in the most anterior lateral chordotonal organ. (Elstob et al., 2001) Strong Ecol\lacZ gene expression wasobserved in R8, R2, and R5. Weak expression was seen in R1, R2, R3, R4,R6, and R7. In a ro mutant background, R2 and R5 expression is reducedor absent. (Freeman et al., 1992)
