Statement
Reference

No posterior localization within oocyte observed (compare protein expression pattern).

Posterior localization within oocyte lost at stage 10. Posterior localization within oocyte a property of the fusion protein, but not the transcript (compare transcript expression pattern).

Expression of the fusion protein differs from that of the transcript during S8-S9; unlike the transcript, the protein is transiently localized to the posterior end of the oocyte. Higher levels of the transcript in nurse cells, relatively low levels in the oocyte.

Unlike the transcript, which is evenly distributed in the oocyte during stages S8-S9, there is transient localization of the fusion protein to the posterior end of the oocyte.
