Additional Information

Drives expression in a number of cell types; serves as a marker for crystal cells. In the eye disc, drives expression in the precursors to photoreceptor cells R1, R6, R7, cone cells, and pigment cells.

Scer\GAL4lz-gal4 drives expression in the presumptive spermathecum and accessory glands of the pupal female genital disc.

Expression is observed in cells of the Amos lineage.

In eye disc, expression begins in undifferentiated cells after the second wave of cell division; refined to photoreceptor neurons R1-R6, and slightly later to R7; expression detected in axons of R1-R7. In pupal stage, expression in cone and pigment cells.
