| Dataset |
A set of mutant stocks derived by insertional mutagenesis using the P-element construct P{PZ}; most lines have a lethal or sterile phenotype. The P{PZ} construct carries a ry[+] visible marker, Ecol\lacZ enhancer trap sequences, and bacterial sequences that allow plasmid rescue.
Insertion lines from this collection were assessed for inclusion in the Gene Disruption Project collection.

Statement

The CycEJP rough eye phenotype is weakly suppressed by the addition of Hsc70-403550.
The EJP amplitudes recorded from Hsc70-403550, CspU1 double mutant neuromuscular junctions (NMJs) are reduced to about a third of control amplitudes - about the same as each
allele individually. The frequency and amplitude of spontaneously occurring mEJPs in double mutants are not different from
controls.
The nerve-evoked excitatory junctional potential (EJP) amplitudes in mutant larvae are reduced to about half that of controls.
EJP amplitudes are not reduced by a fatigue of evoked release, because responses sequentially recorded at 0.2 Hz do not progressively
diminish. The quantal content of evoked release in homozygotes is reduced to a third to a half of control.
Shows no interaction with N pathway mutants.
Third instar larvae contain circulating melanotic capsules, and die as early pupae.
The Bolwig\'s organs show variable disruption of cell clustering in homozygous embryos. A number of photoreceptors are displaced
along the path of the Bolwig\'s nerve (BN) in some embryos. The BN defasciculates on the surface of the optic lobe anlagen
in most embryos. the defasciculated BN usually projects abnormally and forms loop-like structures.
Germline clones produce eggs with patterning defects: anterior head defects and variable abdominal segmentation defects. Lethality
occurs during the larval and pupal stages.
