Dataset

A set of mutant stocks derived by insertional mutagenesis using the P-element construct P{lacW}; most lines have a lethal or sterile phenotype. The P{lacW} construct carries a w[+mC] mini-white visible marker, Ecol\lacZ enhancer trap sequences, and bacterial sequences that allow plasmid rescue (FBrf0049800).
Insertion lines from this collection were assessed for inclusion in the Gene Disruption Project collection.

hide Detailed Description
Statement
Reference
Homozygous clones in the third larval instar tracheal system are only occasionally recovered after they have been induced at the late blastoderm/early gastrulation stage.
When expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4e22c, nrv1Scer\UAS.T:Zzzz\FLAG does not rescue the dye diffusion phenotype across the salivary gland epithelium observed in nrv2k13315 mutants.
In nrv2k13315 homozygous mutants the adherens junction remains intact, with the regular spacing of plasma membranes maintained. However, the septae normally located between these membranes are reduced in number or absent. The paracellular diffusion barrier is disrupted in salivary glands of nrv2k13315 homozygous embryos. nrv2k13315/nrv2k13315 somatic clones generated in larvae (approx. 72 hours after egg laying) do not survive in adult tissues.
When expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4e22c, nrv21.Scer\UAS.T:Zzzz\FLAG rescues the dye diffusion phenotype across the salivary gland epithelium observed in nrv2k13315 mutants.
nrv2k13315/nrv2k04223 tracheal phenotypes are not suppressed by nrv1Scer\UAS.cPa; Scer\GAL4e22c. nrv2k13315/nrv223B tracheal phenotypes are not suppressed by nrv3Scer\UAS.cPa; Scer\GAL4e22c.
