Reference
The average number of crystal cells per embryo is reduced (to 10.8) in homozygous stage 13-14 embryos compared to wild type (36 +/- 2.2 cells on average).
Lethality occurs during third instar larval or pupal stages. Mutants exhibit visible disc abnormalities: very small or no discs. Clones induced in wild type discs are of normal size and shape.
