Adult expression is observed in the mushroom body and antennal lobe, in a band in the fan-shaped body, in a ring around the ellipsoid body of the central body complex, and in scattered neurons in the protocerebrum. Third instar larval expression is seen in various parts of the brain and in the thoracic ganglia.
Larval expression begins abruptly at hatching, and is observed in most of the mushroom body, except at the core of Kenyon cells clusters, and in the stalk of the mushroom body with 2-fold concentric organization.
