Statement
Reference
Mutant males and females show an increase in mean survival compared to control flies under the multiple-stress paradigm of
10mM paraquat and wet starvation.
Mutant males and females show a mean lifespan enhancement of 38% and 22% respectively compared to control flies and a 15%
maximum lifespan extension for both sexes. The mutant flies are longer lived than controls under both abundant and restricted
food conditions.
The mutant flies show no difference in food uptake or metabolic rate (as measured by carbon dioxide output) compared to controls.
The mutant flies show a slight increased in fecundity and show enhanced climbing ability compared to controls.
p1130[EP1130]/α-Man-I[EP1628] and p1130[EP1130]/α-Man-I[EP982] flies have similar lifespan profiles as α-Man-I[EP982]/α-Man-I[EP1628] flies.
