hide Detailed Description
Statement
Reference
Expression of Pk61CEP3091 under the control of Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1 (the animals are initially raised at 18oC and then shifted to 29oC after 10 days) results in a reduced number of early germ cells (stem cells, gonialblasts and spermatogonia) in the testis.
Homozygotes produce no ventral cuticles and do not develop into the larval stage. Apoptotic activity is higher than controls in these embryos.
Eye size in animals expressing InRScer\UAS.cHa under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF is restored almost to wild type by Pk61CEP3091/Pk61C4ΔEP, although eye roughness is increased.
Homozygous and transheterozygous Pk61C5/Pk61CEP3091 larvae die during the second instar.
