Statement
Reference
moodyEP1529 flies are fully viable and show normal levels of climbing and locomotion. However, these flies show increased sensitivity to cocaine and nicotine, as measured by their behavorial responses. In contrast, these flies are resistant to the intoxicating effects of ethanol as they have an increased mean elution time from the inebriometer, although their ethanol absorbance is normal. The blood-brain barrier is not affected in moodyEP1529 flies.
