Adult expression is observed in small field neurons of the ellipsoid body and in a few additional cells.

Adult expression is observed in cell bodies that have a lateral placement, and in fasciculated processes traveling between some procerebral bridge glomeruli and the ellipsoid body canal.

Adult expression is observed in 4 to 8 neurons per side, with the cell bodies that lie in the pars intercerebralis. These neurons project to the protocerebral bridge, where they arborize, then project ventrally along the caudal surface of the fan-shaped body to arborize in the ellipsoid body. Another projection densely arborizes in the dorsal-rostral half of the ipsilateral nodulus. No expression is observed outside the central body complex.
