Dataset

A set of transgenic insertion stocks derived by TE mobilization using the P-element construct P{GT1}; created and vetted by the Gene Disruption Project (GDP). The P{GT1} construct is described as a dual-tagged gene trap (FBrf0132344):it carries (1) w[+mGT1] mini-white marker, designed to confer a pigmented eye phenotype only if the construct is inserted within a host gene, and (2) a promoter-less Ser\GAL4 gene which is expressed if it is produced as a fusion with the mRNA produced by the host gene. The construct also carries a Tn\neoR selectable marker (FBrf0132344).

hide Detailed Description
Statement
Reference
Hmt4-20[BG00814] does not dominantly affect position effect variegation at the Sb locus which is caused by T(2;3)Sb[V].
Hmt4-20[BG00814] suppresses the position effect variegation of the mutant Sb phenotype which is seen in the T(2;3)Sb[V] chromosome.
Suv4-20BG00814 homozygotes suppress the variegation of Sb caused by T(2;3)SbV, resulting in an increase in the number of adults with a Sb mutant phenotype (short bristles).
