Reference
Less than 50% of vsgBG00708 embryos are able to develop into adults. Only about 50% of first instar larvae are able to develop into the adult stage. Approximately 20-30% of third instar larvae and adult vsgBG00708 animals have melanotic capsules embedded in the fat body.
