The downward curvature of the wing blade caused by expression of banUY3207 under the control of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 is suppressed by co-expression of Pi3K92ED954A.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC.
Expression of banUY3207 under the control of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 results in a downward curvature of the wing. Expression of banUY3207 under the control of Scer\GAL4en-e16E results in an overgrowth phenotype in the posterior compartment of the wing. Expression of banUY3207 under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF results in enlargement of overall eye size and an increase in the size of individual ommatidia. The body mass of homozygotes is 90% that of control flies. The wing blade surface area is 94.4% that of controls. Cell size in the wing blade is 99.2% of controls and cell number in the wing blade is 94.5% that of controls. The body mass of banUY3207/Df(3L)emc flies is 73% that of control flies. The wing blade surface area is 84.9% that of controls. The body mass of banUY3207/Df(3L)banΔ1 flies is 82% that of control flies. The wing blade surface area is 90.3% that of controls. Cell size in the wing blade is 100.2% of controls and cell number in the wing blade is 89.9% that of controls. The body mass of banEP3622/banUY3207 flies is 84% that of control flies. The wing blade surface area is 92.6% that of controls. Cell size in the wing blade is 99.3% of controls and cell number in the wing blade is 92.8% that of controls. Wing disc cells expressing banUY3207 under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PP in clones are not different in size to control wing disc cells. Cell doubling time is reduced by 15% as compared to control clones.
The reduction in body size seen in Df(3L)emc/+ flies is partly rescued by expression of banUY3207 under the control of Scer\GAL4arm.PS.
