hide Detailed Description
Statement
Reference
stg[EY12388]/+ suppresses the rough-eye phenotype and increases the number of normal photoreceptors per ommatidium in flies expressing tefu[dsRNA.Scer\UAS] under the control of Scer\GAL4[GMR.PU]. Significantly reduced severity of progressive neurodegeneration is also observed in these animals. Expression of tefu[dsRNA.Scer\UAS] under the control of Scer\GAL4[elav.PU] results in increased levels of photoreceptor cell division in third instar larval eye discs, which is suppressed by stg[EY12388]/+.
