In brains taken from 48hr APF pupae, Scer\GAL4[caps-NP3294] is variably expressed across antennal lobe glomeruli, with some expressing high levels and others low.
Scer\GAL4[caps-NP3294] drives expression in the medulla. At late pupal stage, the terminals of photoreceptor R8 are located in a layer of caps expression, whereas the terminals of R7 are in a caps-negative layer.
