Expressed in cells on anterior side of the A/P boundary.
Expression is observed in both the male and female genital discs, and is complementary to that of wg. Expression is excluded from the repressed male primordium in the female genital disc.
The dpp-:-Ecol\lacZreporter construct reflects wildtype expression of dpp in the imaginal discs.Expression is detected in a stripe along the anterior-posterior boundary of thewing disc and along the morphogenetic forrow in the eye-antennal disc.
The expression pattern of Ecol\lacZdpp.BS3.0 most closely recapitulates wild-type dpp expression patterns during development.
