Molecular data
A constitutively active form of phl is expressed under the control of a sev enhancer.
phl intracellular kinase domain replaces the equivalent region from tor13D, expression of the chimera is driven by an Hsp70 promoter and a single copy of the 1.2kb sev enhancer.
Construct: phl kinase domain fused to the signal sequence, intracellular and transmembrane domains carrying the amino acid replacement characteristic of the tor13D protein, expressed from the sev enhancer and a heat shock promoter.

Allele w+mW.hs
Reference(s) (Dickson et al., 1992)
Molecular data
A mini-w gene is expressed under the control of an Hsp70 promoter.
w gene expression is under the influence of FLIP recombinase.
Expression of a fragment of w genomic DNA with a 2.2kb deletion of 3' flanking sequences and a reduction in the size of the largest intron to 356bp is driven by a 388bp fragment of an Hsp70 gene.
Construct: A 'mini-white' gene constructed by deletion of the XbaI-HindII fragment from the long 5' intron. Carried by the W6 and W8 series of vectors.
