Reporter expression is observed in the heads of third instar larvae in multidendritic neurons and in two external sensory neurons that project to the chemosensitive terminal organ.

ScerGAL4CheB42a.PX drives expression in 10 gustatory sensilla in the prothoracic male legs. These sensilla are located in the tibia and tarsal segments 1 to 4 and are also labelled by ScerGAL4Gr68a.PB.

Reporter expression is observed in a punctate pattern on the tibia and first four tarsal segments of male front legs and nowhere else on male or female bodies. Each GFP expression site is composed of one or several closely grouped cells that form a cylinder underneath and proximal to a single chemosensory sensillum.
