Description

Two tandem repeats of eve sequences from +7.9kb to +8.6kb (relative to the transcription start site) are fused upstream of eve promoter sequences from -275bp to +11bp followed by the GAL4 driver coding region. Sequence consisting of a 38bp multi-cloning sequence followed by eve DNA from +91 to +99 nucleotides and an ATG codon has been used to replace the GAL4 translation initiation signal with that of eve. eve 3' sequences from +1306bp to +1521bp are present downstream of the GAL4 coding region.

Two tandem repeats pof the RP2+a/pCC element from +7.9 (EcoRI) to +8.6 (NheI) is placed upstream of the eve 5' promoter. This controls expression of a GAL4 driver.

Additional Information
Statement
Reference

Drives expression in a subset of motor neurons at all stages.

ScerGAL4eve.RN2 is expressed in a group of two to five neurons innervating the adult hindgut. These neurons innervate the circular muscles, and the epithelium underlying both the rectal valve and the inner muscle layers of the rectum.
