Genomics Education Partnership / June 8-13, 2008
|
The Genomics Education Partnership (GEP) is a group of faculty interested in bringing more genomics into the biology curriculum by providing their students with the opportunity to participate in a genomics research project. We are currently finishing and annotating the dot chromosomes from several species of Drosophila, the region being of interest in terms of chromatin structure and evolution. More detailed information is available at our web site, http://gep.wustl.edu.
We are currently seeking additional faculty
members interested in joining the GEP by attending our June workshop. All
costs are supported by a grant from HHMI. Several current members of the
GEP will be available to discuss this curriculum innovation at the 49th
Annual Drosophila Conference in the workshop session on "Drosophila Research
and Pedagogy at Primarily Undergraduate Institutions (PUI)". Interested
faculty should contact Sarah Elgin at |
