Incompatible crosses between Wolbachia-infected wild type males and uninfected Ance34Eb-2 females show a higher egg hatch rate (40%) relative to controls (26-30%).
The testes of Ance34Eb-2 homozygous males or Ance34Eb-2/Ance34Eb-1 males are extremely variable in appearance. Most are small with few elongated spermatids, no individualised sperm, and degeneration of variable extent.
