Larval ddaE neurons expressing γTub23CGD8749 under the control of Scer\GAL4221 (and Dicer-2, for a more efficient RNAi) show a significant decrease in growing microtubules within the cell body 24h after axotomy, but do not show changes in axon regeneration at 48h upon proximal axotomy, as compared to similarly injured control neurons.

Larval ddaC neurons expressing γTub23CGD8749 under the control of Scer\GAL4477 (and Dicer-2, for a more efficient RNAi) show the expected complex dendrite arbors that increases in branching during larval life.

Expression of γTub23CGD8749 under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.long does not induce any visible eye defect compared to controls.

Adults expressing γTub23CGD8749 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.
