The Eip55E transcript is present at a high and constant level through most embryonic and larval stages. It is present at a low level through pupation and is higher again in adults. Eip55E transcripts are present in all tissues and are abundant in fat body, salivary glands, and lymph glands in third instar larvae. Transcript levels in the lymph glands increase just prior to metamorphosis.
