DCP2-PA is the major isoform expressed in ovaries, embryos, and first instar larvae. DCP2 colocalizes with DCP1 and Ge-1 in the cytoplasm of oogenesis stage 6 nurse cells. It localizes with Ge-1 to the osk mRNP at the oocyte posterior cortex at stage S10.
