Gene model reviewed during 5.53
There is only one protein coding transcript and one polypeptide associated with this gene
Click to get a list of regulatory features (enhancers, TFBS, etc.) and gene disruptions (point mutations, indels, etc.) within or overlapping Dmel\RpL10Aa using the Feature Mapper tool.
RpL10Aa protein is localized to the cytoplasm in nurse cells and follicle cells. Expression levels are high in early oogenesis, decreases mid-oogenesis, and increases again at oogenesis stage S10. :RpL10Aa expression is not found in nurse cells after oogenesis stage 12, and is decreased in follicle cells after stage 13.

Please Note FlyBase no longer curates genomic clone accessions so this list may not be complete
Please Note This section lists cDNAs and ESTs that fall within the genomic extent of the gene model, which may include cDNAs and ESTs of genes within introns, or of overlapping genes. Please see GBrowse for alignment of the cDNAs and ESTs to the gene model.
For each fully sequenced cDNA the DGRC maintains various forms of the cDNA (e.g tagged or untagged) in several different host vectors for subsequent cloning and expression in Drosophila and Drosophila cell lines.

Not a Minute gene.
Deletions removing RpL10Aa but no other cytoplasmic ribosomal protein-encoding genes do not show Minute phenotypes.
S2 cells treated with dsRNA generated against this gene show reduced phagocytosis of Candida albicans compared to untreated cells.
