Drives expression at the anterior/posterior compartment boundary of imaginal discs, and at the morphogenetic furrow of the eye disc.

ScerGAL4dpp.blk1 drives expression in neuroblasts positioned along the distal edge and in cells of the proximal part of the inner proliferation zone in the larval optic anlage.

ScerGAL4dpp.blk1 drives expression in a subset of adult hemocytes; expressing cells are most abundant in the thorax and around the dorsal vessel in the abdomen, with few expressing cells in other abdomenal regions or in the legs. ScerGAL4dpp.blk1 also drives expression in adult pericardial nephrocytes, and in salivary glands.

ScerGAL4dpp.blk1 expression is not seen in the posterior compartment and a sharp boundary is created at the A/P border, whereas it declines gradually in the anterior compartment with stronger expression on the dorsal side than on the ventral side.

Expression in wandering third instar larvae is observed in imaginal discs, in the salivary glands, and in the midgut.

Expression is observed at the morphogenetic furrow.

Expression is observed in both the male and female genital discs, and is complementary to that of wg. Expression is excluded from the repressed male primordium in the female genital disc.

Late third instar expression is observed in a stripe of cells posterior to the dorsocentral sensory mother cells in the wing disc.
