| Definition |
Furrow that extends over the dorsal part of the embryo, posterior to the anterior transverse furrow (Campos-Ortega and Hartenstein, 1985). It appears during stage 6 and deepens during stage 7 (Campos-Ortega and Hartenstein, 1985). It migrates anteriorly by cells moving in and out of the fold (Campos-Ortega and Hartenstein, 1985). It is no longer visible by stage 9 and its cells contribute to the amnioserosa (Campos-Ortega and Hartenstein, 1985).[ FlyBase:FBrf0041814 ] |
