|
| Term |
lateral segmental nerve root glial cell |
ID (Ontology) |
FBbt:00001310 (Fly Anatomy) |
| Definition |
Segmental nerve root glial cell that lies at the point where the intersegmental and segmental nerve roots meet to form a single peripheral nerve.[ FlyBase:FBrf0054242 FlyBase:FBrf0082171 FlyBase:FBrf0214261 ] |
| Also Known As |
"L-SNG" ; "segmental glial cell 3" ; "SG3" |
| Comment |
The lateral segmental nerve root glial cell and the lateral intersegmental nerve root glial cell lie in close proximity. In some animals one of these is absent. The lateral segmental nerve root glial cell corresponds to SPG3 described by Klambt and Goodman (1991) (Ito et al., 1995). |
