General Information
|
| Term |
larval RP5 motor neuron |
ID (Ontology) |
FBbt:00001457 (Fly Anatomy) |
| Definition |
Most anteriorly located larval RP motor neuron, developing from neuroblast NB3-1 (Schmid et al., 1999). It innervates all ventral longitudinal (VL) and ventral oblique (VO) muscles except for VO3 and VO6 (muscles 6, 7, 12-16 and 30) in abdominal segments and all ventral longitudinal muscles (VL1-4; muscles 6, 7 ,12 and 13) in thoracic segments (Schmid et al., 1999, Mauss et al., 2009).[ FlyBase:FBrf0053781 FlyBase:FBrf0099344 FlyBase:FBrf0112030 ] |
| Also Known As |
"larval vCE neuron" ; "larval ventral common exciter" ; "MNSNb/d-Is" (for all, see Synonyms field below) |
| Comment |
Innervation pattern (Mauss et al., 2009) makes this equivalent to the MNSNb/d-Is neuron of Huang and Chiba (2001), not the MN12-Ib neuron as postulated by Huang and Chiba (2001). |
