| Definition |
Pit sensillum located in the dorso-lateral group of the terminal organ, on the head of the embryo/larva, located next to the dorsolateral papilla. It resembles a small pit, and houses a single dendrite that has a tubular body, indicative of mechanosensation (Rist and Thum, 2017).
