| Definition |
A ventrally located campaniform sensillum of larval abdominal segments 1-7, innervated by the dendrite of a single neuron - vesC. The tormogen (socket) cell of this sensillum is unusual in having numerous short cytoplasmic extensions (Barolo et al., 2000).
