Definition Hemocoel of the adult. It is not divided into dorsal, perivisceral and ventral sinuses as in other insects. However, the hemocoel of each leg is divided into dorsal and ventral sinuses by a delicate membrane that extends across the leg and that bears the leg trachea.[ FlyBase:FBrf0007735 ]
