General Information
Term adult median bundle ID (Ontology) FBbt:00003683 (Fly Anatomy)
Definition Prominent tract located in the anterior midline of the adult brain (Ito et al., 2014). It emerges as a paired tract from a broad area around the esophagus, merging into a single tract at the tip of the flange and terminates in the superior medial protocerebrum (Ito et al., 2014). It contains fibers from neurons of the pars intercerebralis and axons projecting to the SMP and the crepine (Ito et al., 2014).
