| Definition |
Monopolar, intrinsic unicolumnar neuron of the adult optic lobe that has its soma in the cell body rind of the lamina and connects the lamina to the medulla (Fischbach and Dittrich, 1989). It has a single major projection that projects along one optic cartridge in the lamina, crosses the first optic chiasm and terminates in the same cartridge in the medulla (Fischbach and Dittrich, 1989).[ FlyBase:FBrf0049410 ] |
