Term lobula plate layer 4 ID (Ontology) FBbt:00003889 (Fly Anatomy)
Definition Layer of the lobula plate that is the most distant from the second optic chiasm (Fischbach and Dittrich, 1989). Terminals of T4d and T5d, and most of the vertical system neurons are found in this layer (Fischbach and Dittrich, 1989; Rajashekhar and Shamprasad, 2004).
