| Definition |
A nerve that arises from a ventral protuberance on the adult mesothoracic neuromere (Power, 1948; Court et al., 2020). It splits at its base, with a small number of fibers innervating a ventral muscle that is posterior-lateral to the tergal depressor of the trochanter and the rest projecting into the mesothoracic leg (Power, 1948; Court et al., 2020).[ FlyBase:FBrf0007196 FlyBase:FBrf0246815 ] |
