| Definition |
Campaniform sensillum found on the anterior medial surface of the tegula of the adult wing. There are two large elliptical sensilla with high profile and with a socket (type 5), arranged orthogonally to the main tegula campaniform sensillum, with their long axis parallel to the proximo-distal axis of the wing. Each sensillum is around 5 micrometers in diameter.[ FlyBase:FBrf0038304 ] |

These sensilla were not found in a recent comprehensive study of campaniform sensilla, which only mention the 18 sensilla of what is called here the main field of the tegula (Dinges et al., 2020 - FBrf0247616). |
