Term adult ellipsoid body ring neuron R3m ID (Ontology) FBbt:00047038 (Fly Anatomy)
Definition Ring neuron R3 that enters the ellipsoid body centrifugally and arborizes in a region of the inner central domain complementary to, and partially overlapping with, R3d (Omoto et al., 2018). Its dendrites are relatively confined to the anterior part of the inferior bulb, but fibrous projections also extend to the lateral accessory lobe (Omoto et al., 2018).
