General Information
Term larval prothoracic VPM neuron ID (Ontology) FBbt:00047560 (Fly Anatomy)
Definition Octopaminergic, bilaterally-paired neuron of the prothoracic neuromere of the larval ventral nerve cord. There is one of these neurons per hemisphere. They form a cluster with the VUM neuron cell bodies, but unlike the VUM neurons, the VPM neurons are restricted to the CNS (Selcho et al., 2012).[ FlyBase:FBrf0219406 ]
Also Known As "tVPM1"
Comment Selcho et al., 2012 did not see an individual prothoracic VPM neuron in any of their flp-out larvae, so were unable to analyze one in detail.
