| Term | larval mandibular VPM neuron | ID (Ontology) | FBbt:00047748 (Fly Anatomy) |
| Definition | Octopaminergic, bilaterally-paired neuron of the mandibular neuromere of the larval subesophageal ganglion. There are two of these neurons per hemisphere. They form a cluster with the VUM neuron cell bodies, but unlike the VUM neurons, the VPM neurons are restricted to the CNS. The mandibular VPM neuron arborizes in the subesophageal ganglion, and also posteriorly into the thoracic and abdominal neuromeres (Selcho et al., 2014).[ FlyBase:FBrf0225919 ] | ||
