Definition Larval VUM neuron with a cell body at the level of the maxillary neuromere. There are three of these cells, which are octopaminergic and are anatomically similar to the mandibular VUM neurons. They are ascending neurons (Selcho et al., 2014).[ FlyBase:FBrf0225919 ]
