Term larval mushroom body output neuron f2 ID (Ontology) FBbt:00047974 (Fly Anatomy)
Definition Larval neuron that has presynapses in the basocentral compartment (lateral accessory lobe) and postsynapses in the mushroom body vertical lobe intermediate (V2) region (Saumweber et al., 2018). It develops from the DALcl2 neuroblast late in embryogenesis and becomes an adult MBON30 during metamorphosis (Saumweber et al., 2018; Truman et al., 2023).[ FlyBase:FBrf0238440 FlyBase:FBrf0255928 ]

Comment Saumweber et al. (2018) found this neuron in the L3 larva, but were not able to identify it in the L1.
