Definition Motor neuron that innervates tergopleural muscle 2 and sometimes also tergopleural muscle 1, ipsilaterally (O'Sullivan et al., 2018; Ehrhardt et al., 2023). Its soma is found in the ventral mesothoracic neuromere (Ehrhardt et al., 2023). It arborizes predominantly in the ipsilateral dorsal mesothoracic neuromere, including the wing neuropil, with some fibers extending across the midline (O'Sullivan et al., 2018; Ehrhardt et al., 2023). In the male, it is required for courtship song (O'Sullivan et al., 2018).[ FlyBase:FBrf0240039 ]
