Sensory compartment of the larval central nervous system that extends from the maxillary neuromere into the ventral nerve cord, largely overlapping the ventromedial neuropil domain (Kendroud et al., 2018). It contains the terminals of sensory neurons that enter the CNS via the antennal-pharyngeal, maxillary-labial, prothoracic accessory and lateropharyngeal nerves (Kendroud et al., 2018; Miroschnikow et al., 2018).[ FlyBase:FBrf0237251 FlyBase:FBrf0240975 ] |
