| Definition |
Follicle cell found relatively close to the posterior polar cells of the egg chamber. They signal back to polarize the oocyte cytoskeleton. Along with the main body (oocyte associated) follicle cells they form a columnar epithelium from stage 10, which deposits eggshell components.[ FlyBase:FBrf0205319 ] |
