ID (Ontology) |

| Definition |
Longitudinal (anterior-posterior) fascicle of the adult brain that belongs to the group of fiber bundles that separate the superior protocerebrum from the inferior neuropils (inferior protocerebrum) (Lovick et al., 2013). It is a thick bundle, lateral to the longitudinal superior medial fascicle (Lovick et al., 2013). It contains the axons of DPLl2/3 lineage secondary neurons, which follow the tract established by DPLl2/3 primary neurons in the early larva and contribute to the posterior part of the adult tract (Lovick et al., 2013; Wong et al., 2013; Hartenstein et al., 2015). It also has an anterior component, formed by the DPLd posterior hemilineage secondary neurons (Lovick et al., 2013).[ FlyBase:FBrf0223298 FlyBase:FBrf0223329 FlyBase:FBrf0229672 ] |
