Term adult lateral horn PD3a2 neuron ID (Ontology) FBbt:00049376 (Fly Anatomy)
Definition Adult lateral horn local neuron of the PD3a2 group that fasciculates with the PD3 primary neurite tract (Dolan et al., 2019). It is a secondary neuron that is part of the DPLm2 (LHd2) dorsal hemilineage (Bates et al., 2020; Schlegel et al., 2021). There are approximately 7-9 of these neurons per hemisphere and they are glutamatergic (Dolan et al., 2019; Schlegel et al., 2021).[ FlyBase:FBrf0242477 FlyBase:FBrf0246460 FlyBase:FBrf0249560 ]

Comment Bates et al. (2020) classify this as an output neuron, Schlegel et al. (2021) say local. Cell type found in both hemibrain and FAFB (Schlegel et al., 2021).
